Patrick Hanafin

Patrick Hanafin is a law clerk at WhitbeckBeglis. Patrick grew up in northern Virginia and received his bachelor’s degree from George Mason University. He worked in media production and communications before enrolling at American University Washington College of Law. He graduated from American in 2024.

During law school, Patrick worked at a litigation firm in DC and an intellectual property firm based in Philadelphia. At the litigation firm, he assisted in the representation of clients in domestic violence matters and special education disputes.

Outside of work, Patrick enjoys going to Nationals games, watching true crime documentaries, and running. Patrick has a younger brother and older sister, and he became an uncle in February 2025. Patrick’s parents met during training for the FBI and his grandfather was awarded a Silver Star for his service in World War II.
