Growing up in Woodstock, a chance encounter with an exhibit about Thomas Marshall, father of Chief Justice John Marshall, sparked an interest in the Constitution that led him to law. Kyle enlisted in the United States Army, serving on active duty for over four years and later in the Army Reserve, then worked in the Virginia General Assembly for former Speaker of the House of Delegates Todd Gilbert before earning his B.S. in Economics from James Madison University in 2021 and his J.D. from the Appalachian School of Law in 2025. While there, he served as Chief of Staff of the Student Bar Association, Articles Editor for the Appalachian Law Journal, and President of the Federalist Society.
Kyle remains in Woodstock with his fiancée, where he grew up in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. He is a devoted student of the Virginia Constitution, a subject he pursues well beyond the office, and an avid book collector with several hundred volumes, many dating to the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. A former volunteer firefighter and member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, he is active with the Shenandoah County NAACP, the Shenandoah County Farm Bureau, and the Shenandoah County Extension Leadership Council, and enjoys playing tennis and golf.
