Emily Bordelon

Dawn Williams

Emily was raised in Texas, ultimately moving to the D.C. area for graduate school. After graduating from George Washington University with an M.A. in political science, Emily received their J.D. from George Mason University School of Law in 2022.

During law school, Emily worked as a law clerk for various nonprofits, focusing on immigration, labor, and employment law. They also actively participated in the Tribal Sovereignty Clinic and served on the editorial board of the International Law Journal.

Upon graduation, Emily began their legal career in public service, serving as a magistrate in Henrico County and Fairfax County. As a magistrate, Emily reviewed criminal processes, protective order petitions, and mental health petitions. Following their passion for service, Emily transitioned into advocacy and family law.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys photography, fantasy fiction, and hiking.
