He has been recognized for advancing novel arguments in Virginia civil and criminal law, including litigation seeking expanded recoverable damages for injured pets—an issue that drew statewide attention for reshaping how companion-animal injuries are valued in court. Harding’s practice further includes complex civil and criminal disputes. He has been named a rising star for criminal defense per Super Lawyers as well as a Newsmaker of the Year per Virginia Lawyers Magazine.
He’s been awarded honors for pro bono services and been a part of national class actions. Elliott lives with his best friend and love of his life, Elaine, and their two children and sweet cat, Penny. A graduate of the University of Virginia, he takes pride in assisting students and local athletes at his alma mater in their pursuit of future success. When he can, Elliott enjoys the outdoors, sports, and spending time with his family as much as possible.
