Beth McCord

A Senior Associate at WhitbeckBeglis, focused on family law. She has a B.S. in psychology from Arizona State University and a J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Maryland Bar, and the Loudoun Bar Association.

As the daughter of a Marine, Beth grew up in various military bases in the United States and overseas.  She began her career as a social worker assisting developmentally delayed individuals and individuals with mental illness. She then worked her way through law school as an adjudicator of Social Security disability claims.  Since then, she has practiced law in the Northern Virginia area with a focus on custody, visitation, child and spousal support, divorce and protective orders for almost 25 years.

Prior to coming to work for WhitbeckBeglis, she represented survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking in their family law cases for 16 years. Beth’s unique experience and empathetic ability enable her to skillfully assist clients going through trauma due to their changing families.

In addition to the Virginia State Bar and the Bar of Maryland, Beth is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
