Shannon Baldwin graduated from King College in Bristol, Tennessee in 1996 and from West Virginia University College of Law in 1999.
Shannon has practiced law for twenty-two years. During her legal career, she has worked as a public defender, opened her own law firm, served as a Guardian Ad Litem, practiced criminal defense in Federal Court, argued before the West Virginia Supreme Court on two occasions, and been a prosecuting attorney in both West Virginia and Virginia. Most notably, Shannon was elected as the prosecuting attorney in Jackson County, West Virginia, for a four-year term at the age of twenty-nine.
Shannon has successfully prosecuted six murder trials and numerous other serious felony offenses. Her legal experience runs the gamut from social security disability to family law to criminal law.
Shannon resides in Herndon, Virginia. She enjoys playing tennis and is the mother of two teenage boys.
