Lauren Hunt is an Associate Attorney at WhitbeckBennett, working out of the Richmond office. She was born in Fairfax, Virginia, but she considers Nashville, Tennessee home. Lauren graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Pepperdine University and earned her law degree at the University of Alabama School of Law – where she graduated with a Public Interest Certificate and an Order of the Samaritan. During law school, she was selected as a member of the Competition Trial Advocacy team as well an officer of the Law and Economics Society.
Lauren spent a semester as an intern with the Tuscaloosa Public Defender’s Office, focusing primarily on domestic violence criminal defense. She also clerked for the Arkansas Municipal League, providing comprehensive legal representation for the small cities and towns of Arkansas. During her spring breaks, Lauren traveled to Alabama, participating in will clinics for low-income elderly populations and first responders. Lauren has previously worked as a Staff Attorney with the State of Tennessee in their TennCare Division, reviewing and resolving Medicaid and Medicare appeals on behalf of the state. Most recently, Lauren was an Associate Attorney with BWW Law Group LLC, practicing Bankruptcy Law primarily.
Lauren hopes to bring her life-long passion for serving others to the practice of Family Law, as well as her unique perspective on family law matters that stems from a Healthcare and Bankruptcy Law background.
Lauren lives in Midlothian, VA, with her fiancé, Robert, and their two dogs, Atticus and Cicero. When not at work, she enjoys reading (and hoarding) books, traveling, board games, and cheering on the Crimson Tide.
